The Orlando Magic and Point Guard Tyus Jones agree to a one-year $7 million deal on Monday night. He is one of the best pure point guards in the NBA. Jones had a successful one-year stint with the Phoenix Suns. He averaged 10.2 points per game and 5.3 assists during the regular season. How will Jones fit with the Orlando Magic?

After earning the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference, Orlando has gotten considerably better this offseason. They acquired sharp-shooter Desmond Bane a few days ago. The Magic had one of the worst offenses during the regular season, Bane will help in that department. Jones will also help Orlando’s offense by setting his teammates up to succeed. He will play alongside young stars like Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. Orlando’s bench will also be a positive for the squad next season.

In a wide-open conference, Orlando will be expected to have great success. Orlando’s moves this offseason illustrate a team that is going for it during the 2025-26 regular season.
