The Pacers have emerged as “a leading trade suitor” for Knicks forward Obi Toppin, per Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Indiana is clearly being aggressive in the free agency period, having reportedly agreed to a trade that sent shooting guard Chris Duarte to the Kings, as we relayed here. The Pacers have also been linked to free agent forwards Max Strus (Heat) and Kyle Kuzma (Wizards) in the past few days.
Meanwhile, it’s not believed the Knicks are actively shopping Toppin, but have been active in trade discussions and are taking calls.
The No. 8 overall pick in 2020, Toppin averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 67 games last season.
