In their first game of the second half of the season, the Memphis Grizzlies hit the road to take on the Indiana Pacers. Despite having lost three of their last five games heading into the All-Star break, the Pacers are one of the hottest teams in 2025.

Much of Indiana's success has to do with their point guard Tyrese Haliburton, who plays an essential role as the engine of their fast-paced offense. Because of his slow start to the season, the Wisconsin native did not make the All-Star game this year, but that does not take away from his importance to the team.

Haliburton's availability is another major reason for his importance, as he has only missed one game this season. However, the Pacers made an announcement during Thursday's Pacers-Grizzlies matchup that will pique the interest of both fanbases.

Earlier in the game, Haliburton suffered a right shoulder contusion after a fall into the front row. The point guard went back to the locker room, but returned to the game against Memphis. His return came after the Pacers revealed he was probable to reenter the game, announcing the official injury designation.

"Injury Update: Tyrese Haliburton (right shoulder contusion) is probable to return to tonight's game," the Pacers announced.

Prior to his temporary exit, Haliburton recorded 17 points on 7-for-14 shooting, four rebounds, seven assists, a steal, and a block. He finished the game with 22 points, five rebounds and nine assists. Indiana went on to defeat Memphis 127-113.

Since the Grizzlies and Pacers already met up in December, these two teams will not face off against one another the rest of the season (barring an NBA Finals matchup). The Grizzlies take the court again on Friday against the Orlando Magic.
