Guard Bruce Brown said signing with the Pacers as a free agent was a no-brainer.
“It really came out of nowhere,” Brown said of the Pacers’ offer, reportedly for two years and $45 million, via the Indianapolis Star. “Obviously there was a few teams who had the mid-level, you’re interested. So I’m like all right, I’m going to get what, 13 a year for three years, like 40. I’m like, I’m fine with that, that’s fine.”
Brown, of course, is coming off a championship season as a key reserve with the Nuggets. His deal with the Pacers consists of a team option after the first season.
“We feel like he’s a great fit,” Pacers president Kevin Pritchard said. “We’re in a really good place right now, with a really great team.”
