The injury bug just keeps biting the Pacers.

Coach Rick Carlisle told reporters Tuesday that forward Obi Toppin will miss at least a month with a right hamstring strain and guard Bennedict Mathurin is considered week-to-week due to a right toe sprain, per Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star.

Toppin was injured in Sunday’s loss at Minnesota, while Mathurin went down a night earlier in Memphis after tripping over Jock Landale’s foot.

Both players will undergo additional testing when the team returns home following Wednesday’s game in Dallas.

“I can’t give you a definitive answer with either guy,” Carlisle said. “But they’re gonna miss some time.”

The Pacers were already facing a tough road, opening the season without Tyrese Haliburton, who is expected to miss the entire year with a torn Achilles. Now the injury report has grown to include nearly every position group.

Carlisle said Andrew Nembhard (shoulder) did some light court work but isn’t ready to play, Taelon Peter (groin) is improving but not there yet, and Johnny Furphy (foot) will undergo further testing in Indianapolis.

T.J. McConnell (hamstring) and Kam Jones (back) also remain out until at least Nov. 9.

With so many players sidelined, Indiana made a roster move Tuesday — waiving center James Wiseman to sign guard Mac McClung.

The Pacers are also expected to qualify for a hardship exception, which allows teams with at least four injured players to add temporary depth via 10-day contracts.

At this point, they may need it just to field a healthy rotation.
