Pacers Share Heartfelt Tyrese Haliburton Post on Wednesday

The Indiana Pacers may have come up just short against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Finals showdown that had everyone glued to their screens, but the real heartbreak goes way beyond the final score.

In the heat of that battle, the team lost more than just a shot at the trophy; they lost their star, Tyrese Haliburton, to a brutal Achilles tear that nobody saw coming. Now, with months of rehab ahead and the best doctors working their magic, fans are holding their breath, hoping their franchise cornerstone will return not just healthy, but stronger than ever.

In a really heartwarming and creative move, the Pacers took to social media to send Haliburton their best wishes for a speedy recovery. But they didn’t stop there. The Pacers actually invited fans to share their own messages and videos for the injured guard, too.

Sure, it won’t magically heal his Achilles any faster, but knowing he’s got an army of fans rooting for him has to be a huge boost. It’s just one of those feel-good gestures that shows how much love there is for him to come back stronger than ever.

Desmond Bane, now with the Orlando Magic, was actually in the building for that heartbreaking Game 7 and saw the whole thing unfold. On “The Zach Lowe Show,” Bane shared that he’s been keeping in touch with Haliburton, just checking in on him as a friend.

“I was texting him this morning, just about life, not even basketball,” Bane said. “Watching live, it was tough to tell how bad it was at first, but when he didn’t get up and you saw how the trainers reacted, you knew it was serious. But he’s in pretty good spirits, and knowing Tyrese, he’s going to attack this rehab and come back even better than before.”
