Pacers sign Jalen Slawson to two-way contract

The Pacers have officially signed forward Jalen Slawson to a two-way contract, the team announced Saturday.

Slawson will be eligible to be active for 13 of Indiana’s final 22 regular-season games.

The move fills the two-way slot previously held by Quenton Jackson, who is being converted to a three-year standard contract.

Slawson, the 54th overall pick in the 2023 draft out of Furman, spent his rookie season on a two-way deal with the Sacramento Kings. He appeared in 12 NBA games in 2023-24 before spending the past two seasons in the G League.

This season, Slawson has played for the Noblesville Boom, Indiana’s affiliate. In 35 games, the 6-foot-7 wing is averaging 18.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 34.2 minutes per contest. He is shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from three-point range.

Slawson previously signed Exhibit 10 contracts with Indiana and Orlando before being waived in training camp. Because he has not appeared in the NBA since 2023-24, this will count as his second NBA season.
