The Indiana Pacers have the momentum in their conference semifinal series against the New York Knicks. Tyrese Haliburton wouldn’t miss it for the world but he’ll be fighting through a ton of injuries to help the Pacers try to take a 3-2 lead in the Game 5 matchup at Madison Square Garden.

Haliburton is once again listed as questionable on the NBA injury report but it would be very surprising if the All-Star guard is ruled out. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM EST.

Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton listed as questionable for Game 5 vs. Knicks

Haliburton has a whole list of injury issues plaguing him: a right ankle sprain, a sacral contusion and spasms in his lower back. Despite all these injuries, he has continued to get the Pacers’ high-octane offense going.

The Pacers star is leading his team in points per game (23.8), assists per game (7.3) and three-pointers per game (4.8, while shooting 45.2 percent from beyond the arc) this series despite a rough showing in Game 1. His duel with Jalen Brunson and the Knicks is a fight between contrasting styles of play, as New York’s star guard is a methodical, physical scorer who shoots a lot of shots from the midrange. Haliburton’s up-tempo, three-ball-launching tendencies make Indiana tough to slow down when the team gets rolling.

After winning two games back at home at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, including a blowout Game 4 win, the Pacers have the bruised-and-battered Knicks on their heels. New York still possesses a lot of physicality and the ability to push the pace and score in the halfcourt, so Indiana will have to come ready to go.

Along with Haliburton on the injury report is Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin, who has been out with a right shoulder labral tear for months. The Knicks will once again be without OG Anunoby (strained left hamstring), Julius Randle (right shoulder surgery), Mitchell Robinson (left ankle surgery) and Bojan Bogdanovic (left foot surgery).

Tyrese Haliburton will have a lot of intense defense thrown his way as the Knicks look to defend their home court. The winner of what should be a tough Game 5 showdown will head back to Indiana with a chance to close out the series on Friday.
