Paige Bueckers is preparing to make her official debut in the 2025 WNBA season. The 2025 No. 1 overall pick clocked in 23 minutes, scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds in her preseason debut against the two-time WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces.
The Dallas Wings will clash against the Toyota Antelopes at College Park Center before tipping off the new campaign against the Minnesota Lynx at home.
Bueckers talked with reporters on Friday to discuss a variety of topics. Her shoe selection for the upcoming season was a topic of interest during the conference and she offered some interesting responses.
Sports journalist Landon Buford shared a video of Bueckers talking about which shoes she'll be rocking this season. She mentioned some popular selections, including Kobe Bryant sneakers.
"I would say, yeah, some Kobe's, some GC cuts," Bueckers said. "I like Devin Booker's as well. So I would say, I'll switch it up."

Bueckers has had a remarkable journey when it comes to sneakers. She made history in December when she became the first college player to launch her own signature shoe. She debuted the Nike GT Hustle 3 PE during the inaugural Women's Champions Classic at Barclays Center. The shoes and hoodies were a huge success among fans, as they sold out in a short period.
"It's definitely motivating to wear your own shoe," Bueckers said in a statement. "I grew up wearing Nikes -- all the signature shoes -- so it's surreal to have this Player Edition model. I just want to show out in it."
The challenge might be harder now that she's a pro. A'ja Wilson's signature sneakers released and sold out in a matter of minutes on Tuesday. The reigning WNBA MVP is only one of several women's basketball stars with a signature shoe.
After the A'One's successful release, Caitlin Clark should be in line to get a signature shoe. Perhaps after that, Nike will turn its attention to Bueckers' signature line.
