Paris Basketball has signed free agent point guard Tyson Etienne, according to an announcement from the EuroLeague team ( Twitter link).
Etienne, 26, spent all of last season on a two-way contract with the Nets. He appeared in 24 NBA games in 2025/26, averaging 7.9 points and 1.7 assists in 15.8 minutes per contest, with shooting slash line of .400/.398/.833.
After going undrafted out of Wichita State in 2022, Etienne spent his first two professional seasons in the G League with Atlanta’s affiliate team, the College Park Skyhawks. He enjoyed a breakout year in ’24/25 in his first season with the Long Island Nets, averaging 17.1 PPG, 3.5 APG, 3.1 RPG and 1.4 SPG on .464/.418/.794 shooting in 48 games (34.5 MPG).
Etienne’s strong play with Brooklyn’s affiliate club led to a promotion to a two-way deal in March 2025. He appeared in seven NBA games down the stretch of ’24/25 and re-signed with the Nets on another two-way deal last summer.
In addition to his 24 NBA appearances last season, the 6’0″ guard also played 32 NBAGL games (31.5 MPG) with Long Island, averaging 16.3 PPG, 3.8 APG, 2.8 RPG and 1.0 SPG while shooting 39.4% from three-point range on high volume (9.8 attempts per game).
Paris Basketball competes in France’s top domestic league (the LNB Élite) and the EuroLeague, which is widely regarded as the top league outside of the NBA. This will be Etienne’s first stint overseas.
