Paul George Receives Updated Injury Status vs. Toronto Raptors

Not initially listed on the injury report for Friday night's game against the Toronto Raptors, LA Clippers star Paul George has now been downgraded to questionable with left groin soreness. George has been dealing with this groin issue throughout the season, and recently re-aggravated it.

Speaking with reporters after Tuesday night's win over the Los Angeles Lakers, George revealed that his groin was re-aggravated the game prior, saying, "It was something that re-aggravated from last game. Just trying to be ahead of it. A little sore, but I was fine enough to lace it up and give it a go tonight."

Clippers head coach Ty Lue said it's something the team is monitoring, and now George has been added to the injury report. This is the first game of a back-to-back set for the Clippers, which will end in Boston against the Celtics on Saturday. It would make sense for the Clippers to sit George against the Raptors if they felt he should only play in one half of this back-to-back set, as this game is much more winnable without him than Saturday's in Boston would be.

George has been durable this season, having missed just two games all year. Having played through discomfort and soreness, George has battled this groin issue for some time, and is now questionable for Friday night in Toronto.
