The Los Angeles Clippers have received terrible news, as their best player couldn't take part in tonight's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. After losing a hard-fought match against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, the Clips are ready to face the Pelicans, but this time the job will be harder than expected.

Paul George has entered the league's health and safety protocols, meaning he'll be out of action tonight when his team hosts the Pelicans, who beat the San Antonio Spurs in the other play-in tournament game.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski and Tim Bontemps of ESPN, the player is out of action tonight, which is obviously a big blow for the Clippers. George returned to action a couple of weeks ago, leading the Clippers to secure a spot in the play-in, but now the situation is more difficult for him and his team.

Clippers star Paul George has entered health and safety protocols and will miss tonight's Play-in game vs. New Orleans, sources tell Tim Bontemps and me.

This is not a good scenario for the Clippers, especially knowing that the Pelicans are inspired, led by CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram, and all the good defenders they have on the roster.

Well, the Clippers managed to win many games without PG13 and Kawhi Leonard in the regular season, and that's something that makes fans believe they can pull this off. Still, not having George on the floor is a big hit, but Tyronn Lue always knows how to respond to adversity.
