LA Clippers star Paul George missed his first game of the season on Thursday night with left hip soreness. George was again listed as questionable for Saturday night's game vs. the New York Knicks, but has now been upgraded to available.
George suffered the hip injury two games ago, but it was always expected to be minor, as Ty Lue told reporters after the game that George could have returned to that game if needed. While LA did not have George vs. the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, they were still able to come up with a big win, defeating Golden State for their 6th straight win.
The Clippers' first game with James Harden came against these Knicks, and was part of a six-game losing streak that followed the trade. Now looking like a much different team than the one that lost to the Knicks in New York, the Clippers will look to stay hot.
With all their stars healthy, the Clippers will be facing a Knicks team on the second night of a back to back. Defeating the Suns in Phoenix on Friday night, the Knicks have the rest disadvantage in this game, but are still very dangerous. Star guard Jalen Brunson looks to be taking another leap this season, and is a candidate to go off any night, like he showed against the Suns.
