The Phoenix Suns have officially given up on their Big 3 experiment.
When the Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal was formed, Phoenix Suns fans hoped to win at least one NBA Championship with this core.
Unfortunately, with each passing season, the Suns only got worse. The franchise went through multiple head coaches in the process as well.
Now, to start the 2025-26 NBA season, Jordan Ott will be the man behind the clipboard, but has the front office made enough changes to help the Suns compete?
Despite the failed experiment, the Suns have shown immense trust in Booker, who will enter Year 11 in the league.
As a result, the front office has made a major effort to build an excellent supporting cast around Booker. That includes trading for Jalen Green from the Houston Rockets.
The franchise also traded for Mark Williams of the Charlotte Hornets, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Here are all the additions that the Suns have made to their roster.
The most notable addition was that of Green as the Rockets gave up on the young shooting guard who averaged 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game last season.
Green is also among the most exciting players to watch on the Suns next season. It will be interesting to see if he can carve out a long-term career with the team.
Who else but the great Durant tops the list of biggest departures from the Suns’ roster ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
But Durant’s not the only member of the Suns’ Big 3 who gave up on the team. Beal was also bought out by the franchise this summer. Beal joined the LA Clippers in hopes of winning an NBA Championship.
Aside from these major stars, here are all the departures from the Suns’ roster ahead of the upcoming season.
Now, these are some major changes to the roster. Only time will tell if these are enough for the Suns to make a return to the postseason following a terrible 2024-25 campaign.
