Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks reportedly filed a temporary restraining order (TRO) in Los Angeles against his former partner and the mother of his two kids, Heather Andrews, for claims of multiple instances of abuse.
In the report, the incoming Phoenix Suns player claims that Andrews constantly flooded his phone with harmful messages and shared their private conversations to ruin his reputation. Andrews also allegedly threatened to have someone cut Brooks’ fingers off one by one.
“Brooks filed for the TRO (temporary restraining order) in Los Angeles on Wednesday, alleging Heather Andrews — with who he shares a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old with — has destroyed his belongings, hacked into his social media accounts, and even once threatened to cut off his fingers,” TMZ reported this week.
“Brooks said in his request that he met Andrews back in 2018 at a Las Vegas nightclub and started dating her a short time later. He said within months, she got pregnant with their first child and, around that time, he claimed her harassment of him began,” the report added.
While a lot is going on in his personal life, Dillon Brooks is also facing a major development in his professional life, as he was traded last week to the Phoenix Suns from the Houston Rockets as part of the Kevin Durant deal.
Besides Brooks, the Phoenix Suns also acquired Jalen Green, 2025 draft picks that became Khaman Maluach and Jahmai Mashack (traded to the Memphis Grizzlies), two 2026 second-round picks, a 2030 second-round pick, and a 2032 second-round pick.
Brooks is fresh from a fairly productive 2024-25 campaign, averaging 14.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists on 43/40/82 shooting splits across 75 regular season starts for the Houston Rockets.
