Phoenix Suns Guard Jalen Green ‘They've Been Trying to Trade Me Since Last Year’

The Houston Rockets traded one of their most promising pieces this offseason, Jalen Green. On July 6, 2025, the Houston Rockets traded guard Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks to the Phoenix Suns with multiple draft picks, including the No. 10 pick used on Khaman Maluach and five second-rounders. In return, the Rockets acquired 15-time All-Star Kevin Durant and veteran center Clint Capela, which will officially be the NBA's first-ever seven-team trade.

Green was under public fire after a tough playoff series against the Golden State Warriors. Phoenix got the perfect player in Jalen as they pivot toward youth and flexibility, and they are excited by what Green's scoring upside and attitude might bring.
