The Phoenix Suns are on a three-game losing streak, following a 116-104 road loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, and Jalen Green’s poor shooting night certainly didn’t help their cause.
After dropping 21 points against the Boston Celtics on Monday, Green only had nine points, five assists, and two steals on 3-for-17 shooting from the field in 27 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves. During his locker room interview, the former second overall pick admitted it was a bad day in the office.
“Shots I normally make. Tough back-to-back. Little gassed out there. It is what it is. Next game,” Green told Duane Rankin of AZ Central. “Just gotta keep moving.”
“To get into transition, I think it starts with our defense, our pressure. Talking, communicating, and rotating on point. That’s where we’re at our best… Got to stay together. Guard our yard,” he added.
Like Jalen Green, Devin Booker admitted that the Phoenix Suns’ back-to-back schedule certainly played a role in their defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, he doesn’t want to use this and their injuries as excuses.
“We’ve just got to learn how to win together. Still a first-year group that’s dealt with injuries and not much time to go through these stretches earlier in the season together and figure out what works,” Booker said.
“We have something to learn from. There’s still time left in the season. We just try to keep getting better every day. We have the best job in the world. We gotta embrace adversity. You wait all year for these moments right here. So, win, lose, or draw, I’m 100% committed to the grind,” he ended.
