The matchup between the Phoenix Suns and the Clippers on Thursday night brought some crazy highlights, though the main takeaways in the Suns’ victory were Jalen Green’s debut, his broken record for most threes in a Suns debut, and Bradley Beal’s return.

Jalen Green left his mark in his Suns debut:

Making some noise in his first moments as a member of the Suns, Jalen Green drove down the lane and made a beautiful layup around two defenders, and then hit a stepback three pointer midway through the first quarter. The second quarter slowed down for the Suns, though Phoenix came on late as they ended the quarter with 17 points and trailed the Clippers 51-48 at half. The turnovers still played a massive part in the first half as Phoenix had 11 while the Clippers only had five. Jalen Green also broke the Suns’s franchise record for most made threes in a debut for Phoenix with six.

The Suns came out on fire in the third quarter and reassured fans that even in the first game building chemistry with their new star, they were ready to buy in. They outscored the Clippers 40 to 23 in the third quarter as they tried to set themselves up well for the rest of the way. Suns fans were surely letting Bradley Beal know that they were excited as the boo’s were ringing down every time Beal touched the ball. His return to the Valley was definitely a memorable one as Phoenix fans were happy to vocalize their frustrations with Beal’s time in the desert.

The Phoenix Suns ended up keeping their foot on the gas pedal and defeated the Los Angeles Clippers by a score of 115-102 on Thursday night. Suns fans were more than excited to not only avenge the loss to the Clippers earlier in the season and voice their opinions about former Suns guard Bradley Beal, but they were also encouraged by the play of Devin Booker and Jalen Green together, and what the trio could eventually look like once Dillon Brooks returns from injury and the chemistry builds.
