This afternoon, the Phoenix Suns will end their season in a meaningless game against the Sacramento Kings. Despite boasting the most expensive roster in the NBA, the Suns failed to make the playoffs and are looking to re-tool this summer after a disapointing and embarrassing season.
With a win over the Suns today, the Kings will clinch home-court advantage in their Play-In Tournament game against the Dallas Mavericks. The Kings have Malik Monk and Jake LaRavia listed on their injury report with well-documented ailments, but the Suns are waving the white flag, waiting mercifully for their season to be over.
Nick Richards, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Kevin Durant will all miss the season finale. With the exception of Durant, all of those players had been aviliabe up until the final week of the season. The Suns, clearly, do not care about saving face and will rush their way into the offseason.
With their best players all out, the Suns are 15.5-point underdogs against the Kings.
Suns list Kevin Durant (left ankle sprain), Devin Booker (right calf soreness), Bradley Beal (rest) and Nick Richards (right elbow inflammation) as out for tomorrow’s final regular season game against the Kings

Phoenix fans last saw Booker and Beal in a 117-98 win over the San Antonio Spurs. Beal scored 21, Booker offered 18.
Depending on how the Suns navigate the offseason, the win over the Spurs could be the last time any of the failed "Big Three" play in a Suns jersey. Durant is expected to be traded, Beal could be bought out, and Booker, the face of the franchise and all-time leading scorer, could also be traded away if the team opts for a clean slate, although it's hard to picture that.
