The Phoenix Suns started off their offseason by making a blockbuster trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets.
In the trade, the Suns landed Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft and five second-round picks from the Rockets for Durant.
By making this move, Phoenix officially began their rebuild as they try to turn their franchise around after missing the playoffs last season.
Of course, the Suns are looking to rebuild their roster around Devin Booker and that will continue on Wednesday night and into Thursday in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Phoenix holds two first-round picks on Wednesday night as they look to draft the potential next superstar for their franchise.
Ahead of the first round on Wednesday night, the Suns sent out a message on social media regarding Booker.
“A decade in the desert. 10 years ago today, a new chapter began in the Valley,” Phoenix posted on X about them selecting Booker 10 years ago.

Booker was the 13th pick in the 2015 draft out of Kentucky and he has spent the entirety of his career in Phoenix thus far.
During his time with the Suns, Booker has turned into a franchise legend as he has scored the most points in the history of the franchise, which he accomplished last season.
The 28-year-old guard also led the Suns to an NBA Finals appearance in 2021 where they would eventually lose to Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in six games.
Booker has been Phoenix’s most consistent player since being drafted to the franchise in 2015 and despite the team’s struggles over the last few seasons with their big three of him, Durant and Bradley Beal not working out, the star guard has continued to play at an All-Star level.
Now with the Suns amid a rebuild, they will look for Booker to lead their franchise back to glory as they attempt to become title contenders once again.
