Phoenix Suns vs. Washington Wizards odds and best bet

Phoenix is looking to avoid a second consecutive loss for the first time since December. They have the league's best record, including a fantastic 19-5 record on the road. The loss at Atlanta was as a 4-point favorite. The Hawks are favored again tonight, by double that.

Washington got a big win over Philadelphia in their last game but really they have been slumping of late. The Wizards are in 4th place in the Southeast Division and star guard Bradley Beal is out until the middle of February.

Best Bet

Phoenix -8

There is no doubt that Phoenix is the better of the two teams. Sure they lost their last game, but Trae Young came back for the Hawks and was brilliant, scoring 43. It's not like the Suns were going to go undefeated the rest of the season. I wonder if they might have been missing reserve guard Cam Payne a little more than normal in that game as he could have guarded Young a little bit. Giving him a different look.

Washington is not as good as Atlanta and they will be missing their top player with Beal out. Phoenix is 15-8-1 ATS on the road this season so there is no reason to think a loss is going to send them into a funk, not with Chris Paul and Devin Booker, the steadiest backcourt in the league. The number is bigger Saturday but there is probably some value off the loss.

Look for a game where Phoenix starts strong and finishes fast. They are second in the league in first-quarter scoring and first in fourth-quarter scoring. If the Wizards are going to keep this one close we will know early on but I am not hopeful for them without Beal. Phoenix probably wins by 10.

Prop to Consider

Mikal Bridges Over 22.5 Points Rebound and Assists (+100)

Bridges is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. He is an elite-level defender who never seems to take a bad shot. He has been on a heater the last few games with 20+ points three straight. In fact, he would have cashed this prop on his points alone in each of those three games. He has also had eight boards in each of the last three games so he is doing much more than scoring. The value is just too good at +100. The only worry is that Phoenix blows them out and his minutes are down.
