The Detroit Pistons entered the offseason looking to upgrade their roster around their core led by Cade Cunningham and they also had some key decisions to make.

Detroit is coming off an incredible turnaround last season as they went from having the NBA’s worst record to making the playoffs and they are looking to add more talent this summer.

So far, the Pistons have added Caris LeVert and Duncan Robinson through free agency but they also saw three key players depart.

Dennis Schroder was sent to the Sacramento Kings in a sign-and-trade, Tim Hardaway Jr. signed with the Denver Nuggets and while Malik Beasley could return, he is likely on his was out of Detroit as he is being investigated for gambling accusations.

While the Pistons have lost some key pieces, general manager Trajan Langdon reminded fans about a return of a player already on their roster for next season.

“A lot of people talked about the losses of Malik, Tim and obviously Dennis 3 guys that were great for us last season. Jaden Ivey was having an incredible season before he got hurt early January. His first 2 months of the season he was fantastic on both sides of the floor. So he looks good out on the floor now he is ready to go,” Langdon said.

This is great news for the Pistons as it appears that Ivey is good to go for the start of next season and there is no doubt both Langdon and the rest of the organization is excited for his return.

Last season, the 23-year-old guard averaged a career-high 17.6 points and 4.1 rebounds to go along with 4.0 assists per game while shooting 46.0% from the field and 40.9% from three, both of which were also career highs.

Unfortunately, Ivey’s season came to an end after suffering a broken leg but Langdon made it clear that he will be ready for the start of next season which is major news for the Pistons.
