Pistons Waive Gary Harris

The Pistons have waived shooting guard Gary Harris, Michael Scotto reports for HoopsHype (via Twitter).

After picking up his $3.8MM player option at the start of the summer, Harris was acquired by Detroit as part of the six-team trade in July that sent Santi Aldama to the Mavericks, Khris Middleton to the Wizards, and John Collins to the Pistons, among others.

The 32-year-old guard scored a career-low 2.7 points per game last season in 13.8 minutes per night with the Bucks, though he shot 41.2% from three in that time.

It had been previously speculated that the Pistons would choose between Harris and Taurean Prince for their 14th roster spot. Detroit now awaits the resolution of their Jalen Duren restricted free agency saga.
