WHAT COACH HAS SAID HEADING INTO THIS SEASON
Ahead of the season, Capel was asked if he has considered moving Guillermo Diaz Graham around to a different position on the court due to the team’s depth in the front court this year with Cam Corhen, Papa Amadou Kante, and Amdy Ndiaye.
“It’s something that we’ve looked at,” Capel said. “Those three guys that you mentioned, Cam, Papa, and Amdy, those guys are talented… That does help G. We can move him around a little bit and look at some different lineups out there.”
OFFSEASON NEWS
In an offseason film breakdown, I found that Diaz Graham hit 22 of his 55 three-point attempts in pick-and-roll (in this case, pick-and-pop) situations.

Guillermo appeared in 33 games last season, making seven starts, and he was a key rotational piece off the bench. He averaged 6.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.8 blocks per game with 49/41/60 shooting splits. His size (7-foot-0) is obvious, but his improved 3-point shooting as a sophomore unlocks versatility across the lineup.
