The Denver Nuggets are reaching the tail-end of their 2025-26 regular season campaign with just five games left on the calendar before the postseason officially gets up and running.

In their last seven games, the Nuggets have gotten things clicking at the right time. Denver's in the midst of a seven-game win streak to put them on the cusp of another 50-win season, and look to have momentum on their side to keep stacking victories before the real pressure ensues later this month.

But how could the final five games of the year unravel? With over half of those games against top-two seeds in the West, it'll make claiming those late-season victories easier said than done for the Nuggets to claim. With how they've been playing as of late, though, there's still a real chance they can stay under 30 total losses for the year.

With the end of the regular season now sitting straight ahead, let's predict exactly how the Nuggets could fare in the showings that remain on tap:

vs. San Antonio Spurs, Apr. 4

It's a matchup between the two hottest teams in the league: the San Antonio Spurs could be entering with a league-best 11-straight wins to face the Nuggets and their seven consecutive wins. One of those lengthy streaks will inevitably come to an end.

Depending on how the Nuggets' injury report shakes out, it could shift the results one way or another. But on the surface, Denver will be at home and hold the rest advantage, having two days. So far this season, the Nuggets are 12-3 in games where they have two or three days of rest before.

That extra rest could prove critical against a deep, talented team like San Antonio, and just might be what gives Denver the edge that keeps their win streak growing.

Result: Nuggets Win

vs. Portland Trail Blazers, Apr. 6

The Portland Trail Blazers haven't pulled off a win playing in Denver for some time. To find their last win in the Mile High, you'd have to turn all the way back to 2016 in what was just Nikola Jokic's second season with the team.

It's hard to imagine that streak ending here, especially when factoring in the type of momentum the Nuggets have shown through the past two weeks. The Blazers might be 7-2 in their last nine games, but if facing a fully healthy Denver rotation, it might be just too much for them to overcome.

Result: Nuggets Win

vs. Memphis Grizzlies, Apr. 8

It'd be easy to pin this one in as a blowout win in favor of the Nuggets, but it was just a couple of weeks ago when Denver dropped the ball against this same Memphis Grizzlies team for a humbling 118-125 loss that was a bitter wake-up call for everyone in the building.

However, that game would mark the last time the Nuggets have suffered a loss before going on their lengthy winning streak, proving that getting punched in the mouth during that game might've been what was necessary for Denver to get back on their feet.

Expect the Nuggets to enter this one motivated to claim some sweet revenge, and not make those same mistakes from earlier in March in front of a Denver home crowd.

Result: Nuggets Win

vs. OKC Thunder, Apr. 10

Could this be the time the Nuggets finally pull off a win against the reigning champion OKC Thunder, a team that's given them fits all season long? Compared to their past meetings this season, Denver's best chance at a win might be in this game right here.

Barring any unforeseen changes, the Nuggets will have a starting lineup and rotation back to full health, have three games of experience already under their belt to study and learn from, and will have the benefit of a favorable home crowd on their side.

So instead of falling into what would be the Thunder's first season series sweep over Denver since 2016, the Nuggets pull off a refreshing win over the champs for a nice boost of confidence that they can compete with the best right on the cusp of the postseason.

Result: Nuggets Win

This could finally be where the Nuggets' winning ways come to an end. If all four of the previous predictions hold true, Denver would be headed into this one with a league-best 11-game win streak, and certainly have navigated their way into the conversation of being a true title contender.

But going on the road to face a top-three team in the league like the Spurs and their depth, along with the obvious challenge that Victor Wembanyama presents if he plays, could be the type of challenge that brings the Nuggets back down to earth just a bit before the playoffs get started.

Regardless, if the Nuggets do cap off their final five-game slate with a 4-1 record, thus combining for less than 30 losses on the season at 53-29, it'd be considered a wildly successful first half of April, all things considered.

Result: Nuggets Lose
