At that time, Nichols was referring to Kendall Jenner, Booker's girlfriend. The model and the Suns' star ended their relationship last year.

Devin Booker has no shortage of female NBA fans, and former ESPN journalist Rachel Nichols seemingly appeared to be one of them when she flirted with the Phoenix Suns star on national TV.

Last season, as the Suns were staring at elimination in Game 6 of the Finals, former Nichols appeared to flirt with Booker during an interview. He joined 'The Jump' to talk with Nichols, Kendrick Perkins, and Richard Jefferson, and what followed was an interesting exchange.

Booker had suffered a broken nose during the series and Nichols asked him about it, while also lauding him for his good looks and for good measure added that the Suns' fans and his girl thought he looks 'just fine.'

“Suns fans think you look great... I know your girl thinks you look just fine.”

At that time, Nichols was referring to Kendall Jenner, Booker's girlfriend. The two ended their relationship last November owing to their grueling schedules. Per People, one of the sources close to the two told the site:

"Both have incredibly busy schedules right now with their careers and they've decided to make that a priority," a source tells PEOPLE. For Jenner, 27, that includes her 818 tequila line and her booming modeling career, and for Booker, 26, it's his involvement with the NBA.

Another source added:

"They have a lot of love and respect for each other and wish only the best."

Coming back to Nichols, her compliment was well appreciated by Booker and the pair moved on.

Rachel Nichols Was Linked To Miami Heat Star Jimmy Butler

If the ESPN scandal concerning Nichols was one of the talking points of 2021, things went murky for the journalist when rumors of her linked to Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler started doing the rounds.

While there was no concrete substance to these claims, the rumor was enough to cause a buzz on social media. It appears to have died down now and Nichols is currently with Showtime, her next venture after ESPN.

It's likely that she will pretty much find her fan following as she had previously, given her accurate reportage and insightful analysis of the sport that was marred by the controversy. As far as her exchange with Booker goes, it's safe to say, she just had some nice words for the Suns' star.
