The Toronto Raptors will be holding training camp in Alberta for the first time in franchise history.
They will set up shop at the University of Calgary’s Jack Simpson Gym from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.
Media Day will take place in Toronto on Sept. 29 before the teams heads to the west coast.
The public won’t be able to see team practices, but fans in the Calgary area will get a chance to watch the team in action during the annual Open Practice on Oct. 3.
After that the Raptors will begin their six-game preseason schedule against the Denver Nuggets in a Canada Series matchup on Oct. 6 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. This will be the Raptors 7th preseason game in Vancouver.
From there the Raptors will head to Sacramento to take on the Kings on Oct. 8 before they return to home at Scotiabank Arena for games against the Boston Celtics on Oct. 10 and Brooklyn Nets on Oct. 17. The Raptors will end their preseason schedule on the road against the Washington Wizards on Oct. 12 and the Celtics on Oct. 15.
The Raptors regular season schedule will be released at a later date.

The Toronto Raptors were eliminated in the Summer League semifinals by the Sacramento Kings 98-88.
The Raptors stumbled out of the gate as the Kings built a big lead early. They were up by as many as 22 points at one point. However, the Raptors picked it up defensively in the fourth quarter to make it a game. They blitzed the Kings and forced many turnovers as the lead quickly evaporated. Toronto got within 1 point but the Kings kept responding. They were lead by Isaac Jones who scored a game-high 36 points. He came up clutch for Sacramento down the stretch when they needed a bucket.
