PJ Tucker isn’t expected to play any games with the Toronto Raptors.

Raptors general manager Bobby Webster addressed the media on Friday morning following the NBA Trade Deadline and said he doesn’t anticipate Tucker to report with the team. Webster confirmed the Raptors have no plans to keep. Toronto is expected to work out a possible buyout with Tucker.

The Raptors acquired the 39-year-old along with a second-round pick in Thursday’s trade with the Miami Heat, sending Davion Mitchell to Miami. Tucker has not played this season after he requested a trade from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Meanwhile, Boucher who was heavily rumored to be traded, did not get moved.

“We did have (trade) talks (with other teams) but we love Chris. He’s the lone survivor from 2019. It seems like he’s been here forever,” Webster said.

Webster also said that he doesn’t anticipate a buyout taking place with Boucher. “I think he wants to be here and we love having him around,” he said.

Boucher continue to be in and out of the Raptors’ rotation for the rest of the season.

After that, he will head into unrestricted free agency. With the Raptors trying to keep financial flexibility  in wake of the Ingram trade, it’s very unlikely the team re-signs Boucher this summer. However, never count out him sticking around.
