Raptors Surge Late to Defeat Hornets
USA TODAY Sports

TORONTO - Miles Bridges was denied entry to Canada, further shrinking the Hornets' chances to win in Toronto. Despite all the injuries and the late subtraction of Bridges, the Hornets more than stuck around, they led for the better part of three quarters before the Raptors made their surge.

Toronto outscored Charlotte in the final frame 35-18 en route to a 114-99 victory. Pascal Siakam went for 27 points on the night while Scottie Barnes just missed out on a triple-double, recording 22 points, 17 rebounds, and seven assists.

Best of the Game: P.J. Washington

Washington missed the last two games and with Miles Bridges out, they needed him to step up in a big way. P.J. was all over the place making plays on both ends of the floor, including a career-high four steals. He finished the night with 15 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

Worst (Part) of the Game: Toronto free throws

Normally we go with a player for this spot but I don't think any one individual played poorly in this game. Everyone that touched the floor made an impact in some way. The only area I would nitpick is the fouling on the defensive end that gave the Raptors several opportunities.

Conversely, the Hornets didn't get to the line enough, particularly in the second half where they didn't get there until around the five-minute mark.

Stat of the Game:

With three 3-pointers tonight at Toronto, Hornets forward has become the seventh player in franchise history to reach 500 career 3-pointers. He joins Kemba Walker, Dell Curry, Terry Rozier, Marvin Williams, LaMelo Ball and Glen Rice. Stat courtesy of Hornets PR.

Highlight of the Game:

Next up: Hornets at Pacers, Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST.
