Raptors vs. Pistons: Allen Graves makes his case

The Raptors rely on generation second-chance points to churn their offense. It’s one of the foundational pillars of a good offense, basically, in the modern NBA.

Allen Graves is going to help them excel at that this season.

Graves played his second pre-season game for the Raptors tonight, and seven of his eight rebounds were on the offensive side of the ball. He scored on most of them, too! It’s clear, after these two games, that his skillset as a rebounder is his day-one contribution on this Raptors team.

Alijah Martin, Nimari Burnett, Malachi Smith, Tyson Degenhart and Tyreke Key all showed out in the Raptors final pre-season game versus the 401 rivals, the Detroit Pistons, who played their entire rotation for the first half of the game.

In this episode, I break down how Graves gets to his rebounds, why Burnett and Nate Bittle are my picks for the final two-way spot for the Raptors, and Alijah Martin getting it done.

I’m excited for the 905 season after this game! Go get that chip!
