The Raptors are waiving forward Sam Dekker, according to Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca. Dekker was on a partially guaranteed deal, so he will still earn $350K, which is the guaranteed portion of his contract.

Dekker had been in a battle with Isaac Bonga for the 14th spot on the roster. Both players previously agreed to push back their guarantee date to Nov. 6.

Dekker appeared in only one regular-season game for the Raptors, logging one minute. He had some nice performances in preseason. He last played in the NBA in 2018-19, having spent the past two seasons playing in Europe.

The move allows the Raptors to stay under the luxury-tax threshold, as was mentioned in the previous articles.

Assuming he clears waivers, Dekker will become an unrestricted free agent.
