Recent Lakers And Hawks Player Signs With Team In France
USA TODAY Sports

Chaundee Brown played four seasons of college basketball for Wake Forest and Michigan.

He spent this past season in the G League and averaged 14.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 44.7% from the field and 28.6% from the three-point range in 20 regular season games (he also appeared in 17 Showcase Cup games).

That said, he will be joining SIG Strasbourg (a team in France) for the 2023-24 season (h/t Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype).

On Saturday, the team announced the addition of Brown.

During his rookie season, Brown played five NBA games for the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Lakers.

In two games for the Lakers, he averaged 1.0 points and 1.0 rebounds per contest in 10.5 minutes of playing time.

Over three games with the Hawks, he averaged 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 36.0% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range in 27.7 minutes of playing time.

While it was a short sample size, Brown played well for the Hawks and had a game where he put up 16 points, three rebounds and three assists while shooting 3/6 from the three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time.

Brown is only 24 years old, so he will likely only get better over the next few seasons, and a return to the NBA is definitely a possibility.

In addition, he could be one of the best players on SIG Strasbourg next season.
