Reggie Miller questions Thomas Bryant not wanting to play with LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers had a very entertaining trade deadline, making some moves that should lead them to compete for higher spots in the stacked Western Conference. The Purple and Gold seemed to be done after they failed to land Kyrie Irving, but their front office got to work and landed a couple of interesting pieces.

However, they also had to get rid of some players, and one of them was a total surprise for fans inside and outside Lakers Nation. Thomas Bryant was traded to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Davon Reed when nobody expected it.

It was reported afterward that Bryant wasn't happy with his diminished role on the Lakers after Anthony Davis returned from an injury. The former Washington Wizards player grew unhappy with that situation and asked the Lakers to trade him.

Reggie Miller Can't Believe Thomas Bryant Wanted To Be Traded By Lakers

This situation was really confusing and even though an explanation was given, not everybody bought it. Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller was one of those, as he claimed it was odd to hear of a player not wanting to share touches with incredible players like LeBron James.

Miller, whose Pacers were also very active in the trade market, discussed this situation and wondered why Bryant wouldn't want to play with LeBron, who is one of the greatest, if not the greatest player of all time (via The Sportsrush).

“I’ve never heard of a player not wanting to play with Michael Jordan or not wanting to play with Magic Johnson. If you’re Thomas Bryant, how could you not want to play with LeBron James? Have you ever heard of something like?” pondered the Pacers legend.

A couple of weeks ago, LeBron himself revealed that he "dreamed" of Bryant, Davis and himself dominating on the court, but that won't happen anytime soon. Bryant will hit free agency this summer and he wants to get a good deal next. Having more play time is crucial for him, but the Lakers can't give him what he's asking for.
