Reliable Insider Drops Concerning Philadelphia 76ers Update

The Philadelphia 76ers' season has been a complete disaster. After signing Paul George to form a Big Three alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, the Sixers were being considered one of the favorites to win the NBA Championship.

Reality has proven to be very different. Both Embiid and George have struggled for form and fitness throughout the season.

Embiid has already been ruled out for the rest of the season. And there have been suggestions that it could be the same case with George soon.

On the other hand, Maxey has tried his best but he has not been able to carry the Sixers to a respectable season. They currently hold a 22-44 record, the fifth-worst in the entire league.

It does feel like the 76ers have already given up on this season and would be happy to improve their draft lottery chances.

The 76ers' disastrous season has seemingly caught the eye of the NBA as well. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Shams Charania said: "I'm told the Philadelphia 76ers are another team the NBA has started an investigation on and looked into just based on you've had Tyrese Maxey miss time, we know Paul George has missed time."

Of course, there is not much left to say regarding the situation of Embiid. He might even need to undergo another surgery as his knee has been giving him problems all season.

As for George, he has dealt with a variety of issues going back to pre-season and there have been suggestions that surgery could potentially be on the table for the veteran as well.

As for Maxey, the belief is that he has been dealing with injuries throughout the season as well.
