Report: Bulls ‘Would Have Offered Anyone And Everyone’ For Luka Doncic In February

According to Joe Cowley of The Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Bulls “would have offered anyone and everyone” for Luka Doncic in February.

The Dallas Mavericks only spoke to the Los Angeles Lakers, who traded Anthony Davis and Max Christie for Doncic.

“A source told the Sun-Times that Karnisovas and his front office would have offered anyone and everyone on the roster had they been notified by the Mavericks that Luka Doncic was available in February, but even then, it wouldn’t have been better than what the Lakers gave the Mavericks,” Cowley wrote.

Some believe the Bulls could pursue Giannis Antetokounmpo if the two-time MVP requests a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks.

However, Chicago doesn’t really have anything to offer Milwaukee for The Greek Freak.

“If the Thunder or the Rockets want to add Antetokounmpo, they have better talent and draft assets than the Bulls,” Cowley wrote.

The Bulls haven’t made the playoffs since 2022. They are stuck in the worst place to be in sports: mediocrity.

Chicago will once again look to trade Nikola Vucevic this summer. Vucevic will make $21.4 million next season in the final year of his contract.

The Bulls tried to trade Vucevic at the February trade deadline, but the front office didn’t find a deal it liked.

During his exit interview with local reporters, Vucevic sounded like a guy who wants to play for a contender.

“There are some good, young pieces that can be built around,” Vucevic said. “There are a lot of questions when you’re a team not fighting for the top. I have trust in them and believe they want to do what’s best and build a good team that wants to win. So we’ll see. Obviously, I’m at the stage in my career where I’m trying to win now, play in the playoffs and hopefully have deep playoff runs. It’s a young team and it does take time. It all depends on what their timeline is and how they see this team.”
