According to NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, the Utah Jazz made an aggressive push to acquire Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics, who have traded Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, are listening to offers for Brown.

Brown, who won the 2024 Finals MVP Award, will make $53.1 million next season. The All-Star averaged 22.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists this season. He underwent right knee surgery recently.

Boston lost to the New York Knicks in the conference semifinals this year after winning the championship last year. Tatum could miss all of next season recovering from his right Achilles tendon tear.

Brown has career averages of 19.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 603 NBA games. He doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract. The swingman has made four All-Star teams and one All-NBA team.

The Jazz had the worst record in the West this year. They went only 17-65.

Utah has the fifth overall pick in this year’s draft.
