Report: John Wall is interested in playing for the Milwaukee Bucks

Reports had it that Wall is interested in joining the Miami Heat, the Los Angeles Clippers, or the Bucks.

The Clippers traded Wall to the Houston Rockets before the trade deadline, but the 32-year-old guard is reportedly keen on hitting the free-agent market.

Hitting the free agent market is reportedly more viable than finding a trade partner just so Wall could play for another team.

David Aldridge of The Athletic reported that Wall's four-year, $171.1 million contract is a significant deterrent in trade talks. The deal includes a $44.3 million salary-cap hit this season and a player option for 2022-23 at $47.4 million.

The 11-year veteran played 34 games for the Clippers before he was traded, averaging 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.

The number one overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft has struggled to stay healthy. He was nursing an abdominal injury when the Clippers traded him to the Rockets, where he had previously played for one season.

Filling a need at the PG position

The Bucks are in need of a point guard after losing George Hill in a three-team deal which led to the team's acquisition of defensive ace Jae Crowder.

Hill's departure left the Bucks with only two playmakers in Jrue Holiday and Jevon Carter.

Aside from Wall, another possible target for the Bucks is Patrick Beverley, who is reportedly working through a contract buyout with the Orlando Magic. The Lakers traded Beverley to the Magic in exchange for Mo Bamba.
