After it was announced that the Sacramento Kings planned on releasing Juan Toscano-Anderson on Saturday, it seems like his time with the team is not over just yet.

Toscano-Anderson has played eight games for Sacramento in which he has only appeared for 19 minutes on the floor but provides a nice boost to the locker room with his extensive league experience and NBA Finals experience. JTA was a part of the Golden State Warriors’ championship run during the 2021-22 season.
His intial cut was due to the upcoming contract guarantee deadline on Januray 10th. By signing Toscano-Anderson to a 10-day deal instead, it gives Sacramento some additional roster flexibility during a time around the trade deadline where roster spots may be necessary.
Through this next deal, the hope for JTA is to create some staying power on the team with one open roster spot on the table. His signing comes at an ideal time when the Kings may end up needing that extra depth across their upcoming extensive five-game road trip, starting with the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday at 3 PM PT in Little Caesar's Arena.
