Report: Kings' Davion Mitchell Available for Trade
Petre Thomas-USA TODAY Sports

After the Miami Heat made a deal for Charlotte Hornets' Terry Rozier to solve their point guard discrepancy, many people around the league wonder how the rest of the guard market will shake out ahead of the trade deadline.

Yahoo! Sports' Jake Fischer reported on the state of the point guard market, headlined by Sacramento Kings' Davion Mitchell being made available for trade. While Fischer reported on the Kings' desire to move Mitchell in early January, Sacramento seems to stay firm with their trade assets.

Mitchell has spent most of the 2023-24 season cycling between the second and third units but has come alive as of late. In Sacramento's last two outings, following a four-game losing streak, Kings HC Mike Brown has attempted to restructure the rotation with Mitchell playing significant backup point guard minutes.

In Thursday's win over the Golden State Warriors, Mitchell came off the bench with ten points and four assists on 3-5 shooting from deep. His inconsistent playing time has led many fans to believe he is on the verge of getting dealt, but things could change after his resurgence in the lineup.

Many teams could use an impressive perimeter guard defender like Mitchell, but Sacramento's unknown asking price for the 25-year-old puts any potential deal into question.

With the trade deadline less than two weeks away, Sacramento fans could see a new-look squad soon.
