According to NBA insider Frank Isola, the New York Knicks could trade Mikal Bridges and/or Mitchell Robinson.

Bridges is eligible to sign an extension. The max is four years, $156 million.

The Knicks made the conference finals this year for the first time since 2000. They lost to the Indiana Pacers in six games.

Tom Thibodeau was fired as head coach despite going 226-174 in the regular season and 24-23 in the postseason and winning the 2021 Coach of the Year Award.

The Knicks have been denied permission to speak with Dallas Mavericks coach Jason Kidd, Atlanta Hawks coach Quin Snyder, Houston Rockets coach Ime Udoka, Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch and Chicago Bulls coach Billy Donovan

Udoka and Donovan recently signed extensions.

New York has interviewed Taylor Jenkins and Mike Brown. The franchise could also interview James Borrego.

Bridges, 28, averaged 17.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists in his first season with the Knicks while shooting 50.0% from the field, 35.4% from beyond the arc and 81.4% from the free-throw line.

Meanwhile, Robinson averaged 5.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks for the Knicks in the 2024-25 regular season while shooting 66.1% from the field and 68.4% from the free-throw line. He’s 27 years old.

Bridges will make $24.9 million next season, while Robinson will make $12.9 million. Both players have one year left on their deals.
