
According to NBA reporter Jovan Buha of The Athletic, the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in trading for Walker Kessler.
Kessler plays for the Utah Jazz, who are 0-2 in the young season.
Meanwhile, the Lakers are an impressive 3-0 under new head coach JJ Redick.
Kessler is averaging 9.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 3.0 blocks this season while shooting 87.5% from the field and 80.0% from the free-throw line.
The 23-year-old Kessler has career averages of 8.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.4 steals and 2.4 blocks. He was the 22nd overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Auburn.
The Lakers have been starting D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Christian Wood is injured, so Jaxson Hayes has been playing more minutes off the bench.
