Report: Lakers to host Suns on Nov. 15

Another piece of the NBA schedule has apparently slipped out ahead of Thursday’s full release.

The Lakers will host the Suns on Nov. 15 at Crypto.com Arena, according to Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic, who reported the matchup Tuesday.

Phoenix went 3-2 against Los Angeles last season. Of course, these aren’t quite the same Lakers anymore.

Los Angeles has fully moved into the Luka Doncic era following LeBron James’ departure for Philadelphia, with Walker Kessler, Collin Sexton and Quentin Grimes among the notable offseason additions. Austin Reaves also remains alongside Doncic as the Lakers try to reshape themselves around a younger core.

Phoenix did some remodeling of its own. Devin Booker remains the centerpiece, while the Suns added Miles Bridges and former Lakers sharpshooter Luke Kennard. Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green and Mark Williams are also back after Phoenix exceeded expectations last season.

The Nov. 15 matchup is just the latest Lakers date to become public.

The NBA announced Tuesday that Los Angeles will host Stephen Curry and the Warriors on Oct. 21 as part of the league’s nationally televised opening-week schedule.

Then comes the one everyone will circle.

James and the 76ers will visit the Lakers on Christmas Day at 5 p.m. Eastern, marking LeBron’s only scheduled trip to Los Angeles during the regular season.

So yes, the NBA apparently intends to get plenty of mileage out of the post-LeBron Lakers immediately.

As for the rest of the schedule, we won’t have to wait long. The league will unveil the complete 2026-27 slate Thursday.

Until then, apparently, we’ll just keep assembling it one leak at a time.
