Report: Nets interested in Kevin Love, JaVale McGee

After getting torched for 134 points in the paint in two contests against the Cleveland Cavaliers, it appears the Brooklyn Nets want to upgrade at the center position.

According to Jason Dumas of KRON4 News, the Nets are showing interest in Cavaliers big man Kevin Love. They have also been engaged with Cleveland about a deal for JaVale McGee.

Brooklyn still has roster spots to fill after trading Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince and Rodions Kurucs in the four-team James Harden trade. With Allen now in Cleveland, the Cavaliers have an excessive amount of big men on the roster -- Love, McGee, Andre Drummond and Larry Nance Jr.

The Nets currently have DeAndre Jordan as the only center on their roster, so it's no surprise they're looking to add more depth.

McGee, 33, is averaging 8.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 44.7% from the field and 33.3% from deep. Meanwhile, Love has appeared in just two games this season while dealing with a calf strain. The five-time All-Star averaged 9.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 33.3% from the field and 33.3% from deep in those two appearances.
