Despite most NBA pundits playing the hypothetical game, the Hawks aren’t going to trade Trae Young. According to a report from Brett Siegel, the club hasn’t held serious trade discussions around the star point guard.

These rumors of a Trae Young trade will never cease to amaze me. At every turn, Quin Snyder has voiced his support and desire to coach him; Young, himself, has spoken about his wish to stay in Atlanta, most recently making fun of the Knicks for trying to interview the Hawks’ head coach.
The organization, regardless of who leads it, Onsi Saleh or a President of Basketball Operations, is going to build around Trae Young. The better question is whether they’ll let the current core develop around him or if they’ll package pieces of that core in a blockbuster-esque trade.
What isn’t debatable is that Trae Young will likely be inking a long-term extension again this summer.
