According to Shams Charania of ESPN, teams are making big offers to the Boston Celtics for Jaylen Brown and Derrick White

Jayson Tatum is believed to be the only untouchable player on the Celtics, who have to make trades this offseason to avoid having the most expensive roster in the NBA next season.

“The primary focus, from my understanding, with the Celtics’ offseason has been Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, Sam Hauser,” Charania said on the Pat McAfee show. “Their trade markets. However, now are teams making big offers and calling about Jaylen Brown and Derrick White? One hundred percent.

“The Celtics prefer not to trade them, from my understanding, but listen, if they get a big offer, they have to look at everything. And I think they’re going to get, you know, offers on the three guys that they’re focused on. They’re going to get offers potentially on Derrick White and Jaylen Brown.”

The Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers are interested in trading for Holiday, who will make $32,400,000 next season. Holiday averaged 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists for Boston this season.

Brown, who won the 2024 Finals MVP Award, will make $53,142,264 next season. The All-Star averaged 22.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists this season. He underwent right knee surgery on Wednesday.

Porzingis will make $30,731,707 next season in the final year of his contract. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists this season but labored in the postseason due to a serious illness.

White will make $28,100,000 next season. He averaged 16.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.1 blocks this season.

Tatum, who will make $54,126,450 next season, is expected to miss the entire campaign recovering from his right Achilles tendon tear.

The Celtics, who were sold for $6 billion, are a second apron team. A group led by Bill Chisholm, managing partner at Symphony Technology Group, agreed to purchase the Boston franchise.
