Joe has proven to be an elite shooter once joining the Thunder back in 2022 after joining the league with the Philadelphia 76ers. Through his four seasons with OKC, Joe has shot 41.5% from the three point line averaging 9.7 points per game.
Despite earning the top seed in the Eastern Conference, Detroit struggled mightily to find offense on the perimeter alongside Cade Cunningham. But the acquisition of Joe will help spread the floor for Cunningham to create and free up space for the post game led by Jalen Duren.
For the Thunder, it is another cost cutting move as it looks avoid further cap penalties brought on the front office.
