The Phoenix Suns improved to 18-3 on the NBA season via Tuesday's 104-96 win over the Golden State Warriors but experienced a scare when All-Star Devin Booker picked up a left hamstring injury:
It appears the Suns avoided a potential nightmare scenario.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic report Booker will likely miss roughly a few games but isn't dealing with a serious setback:

Phoenix's cautious handling of Booker is understandable considering the club is thinking well beyond matchups set to occur weeks before Christmas. The Suns have now won 17 straight after beginning the campaign at 1-3, and the defending Western Conference champions look like early favorites to return to the NBA Finals for a second straight year.
According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Cameron Johnson will likely start in Booker's place for at least Thursday's game against the Detroit Pistons.
Per ESPN stats, Booker leads the Suns with 23.2 points per game and is also contributing 4.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest.
