Resale NBA tickets featuring Eastern Conference contender going for $1

Some NBA fans might be able to attend Tuesday night's game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Miami Heat for as little as $1 (plus extra fees).

Associated Press reporter Tim Reynolds posted about the resale tickets going for an absurdly low price on X, formerly known as Twitter.

There are a few reasons why these tickets may be available for such a cheap price.

The Trail Blazers (15-41) enter the contest with the fifth-worst record in the league and second-worst mark in the conference. They're just 9-19 at home and have been particularly bad in February, losing eight straight.

Some of their best players won't be suiting up for Tuesday's contest either, as offseason acquisition Robert Williams is out for the season, reigning Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon is out with an elbow injury, 2022 seventh overall pick Shaedon Sharpe is out due to an abdominal issue and 2023 No. 3 overall pick Scoot Henderson is sidelined with an abductor injury. Brogdon leads the team in assists per game (5.5) and Sharpe is third in scoring (15.9).

The quality and quantity of players unavailable for the Heat could be even higher.

Miami is expected to be without Josh Richardson and Tyler Herro due to shoulder and knee injuries, respectively, though Terry Rozier could return from his knee ailment. Center Thomas Bryant will be out due to a suspension stemming from a recent on-court brawl with the New Orleans Pelicans and center Orlando Robinson is questionable because of a back injury.

If fans in the Portland area want to take advantage of a golden opportunity to see a pair of NBA teams play live for hardly anything, Tuesday might be their best chance.
