The Boston Celtics had shown a lot of promise this season. Unfortunately, despite a lot of expectations, the team could not get past the initial phase of the postseason. Yet, one cannot deny the massive impact Jaylen Brown had on the roster. Emerging as one of the biggest pillars for the Celtics, Brown is witnessing a surge in the trade market. Recent reports suggest that the Houston Rockets are showing significant interest.
Currently, the Celtics are heavily rumored to be running after Giannis Antetokounmpo. And if that really happens, then the front office might be tempted to trade off the 29-year-old superstar. Meanwhile, with Houston emerging as a potential landing spot, the names of Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun are doing the rounds.
“The Rockets have legitimate trade interest in Jaylen Brown, per @TheSteinLine. Houston can build an offer centered around Kevin Durant or Alperen Sengun with future first-round picks and additional assets attached,” read an update from Jake Weinbach on X.

Surely, while nothing is official yet, the idea of Jaylen Brown joining the Houston Rockets remains an exciting prospect. The rumors are gaining further traction, as head coach Ime Udoka has a strong bond with the 5-time NBA All-Star from their Boston days.
Meanwhile, with the trade talks gaining momentum, Brown has vowed to up his game the next season.
The 2024 NBA Champions’ strong showing this year got him into MVP talks. In the initial phases, when Jayson Tatum was out injured, Brown ensured that the Boston Celtics looked like a powerhouse. In the next phase, together with Tatum, the 29-year-old formed quite a duo, getting Boston to a dominant regular season run. However, as per the star player, he is still not in his prime.
Speaking on a recent Twitch stream, Brown said per Celtics Wire’s Daniel Donabedian on X, “I will continue to get better…I’m coming into my prime. My mind, my body, my athleticism are all coming together. I’m excited to see what I can do and where I can go with it. I don’t think I’ve reached my limit yet.”

Thus, with a lot of noise going on, Brown will have a choice to make. And fans will look eagerly at how things pan out next.
