Rockets Locker Room Facing Early Tension as Kevin Durant Era Sparks Unexpected Regret

Kevin Durant may be inching toward Michael Jordan’s scoring feat, but the cracks within the Houston Rockets have started to show.

The Rockets traded Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green away for Kevin Durant in the offseason. They thought that he was the missing piece that they needed to compete in the brutal Western Conference. While KD remains stellar despite his advancing age, his personality might not be the best fit for his younger teammates.

And according to a new report circulating online, some within the organization are already regretting trading for Durant.

“A lot of guys miss Jalen [Green] and Dillon [Brooks],” one source said, according to AFD. “Kevin hasn’t bonded with anyone here yet.”

Yikes. That’s not good. But that’s the price Houston has to pay for wanting to hasten their timeline to win a title. As good as Green and Brooks were, they weren’t comparable to Kevin Durant as players.

Kevin Durant Praises Lakers Defense

The Houston Rockets have dropped back-to-back games against the Los Angeles Lakers. In the first game, they played without Alperen Sengun. In the second game, the Turkish-born big man suited up for Houston, and they still lost.

Instead of blasting his team’s effort, Kevin Durant went ahead and praised the Lakers’ defense. “This is the best version of their defense that they’re gonna bring out against us… if we do play them again, we got film to watch and learn from. But this pretty much the only option they can present to us to slow us down,” Durant said.

The Rockets currently sit in the fifth spot in the Western Conference standings. While they still have a chance to secure a higher position, they haven’t been executing extremely well as of late. And KD knows he needs to be better to give this young team a chance in the postseason.
